Edelweiss (visual novel)

Edelweiss (エーデルワイス, Ederuwaisu^?) is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Overdrive and released for the Microsoft Windows PC on July 10, 2008. An official English translation by MangaGamer was released and only available via downloading on MangaGamer's website. A sequel, Edelweiss Eiden Fantasia was later released on March 20, 2010 due to some of the first game's background characters' popularity, thus, the second game focused on them.

Plot

Kazushi, Appo, Pierre and Daigo are four average high school students. They are bored of their life and want to find a girl that can be their girlfriend, but no girls accept them. One day they hear about a exchange program to an all-girls school on a deserted island and they have no doubts on going there. Once they arrive, they discover the school's secret: it teaches the secrets of alchemy and how to handle them. Later, they meet the girls and have to help them, as each one has a problem that can't be solved by them.

Characters

Boys

Kazushi Haruma

Kazushi is the playable character, and one of the few boys that came to Eiden island to transfer schools.

Appo

Has an apple-like head, thus the nickname Appo.

Pierre

One of Kazushi's good friends. His special characteristic are his sideburns.

Daigo

A big man who has a deep voice. Despite his looks, he is actually shy around others.

Panchu

A man who's speech is difficult to understand. All the boys look up to him as a senior. He likes bread.

Main heroines

Haruka Aozora (青空 遥花, Aozora Haruka^?)

She is the granddaughter of the principal and was raised in the island. She has never been outside the island, so she is very interested in the transferred boys. She's good at alchemy.

Mizuki Hinata (日向 みずき, Hinata Mizuki^?)

A girl who loves to swim and enrolled in the school so she could swim in the sea whenever she wanted. She's a tomboy and that makes her very popular between girls.

Ran

An orange haired girl obssessed with money and always finds a way to charge others for money.

Natsume

A mysterious and shy girl who is a junior in the school. She seems to hate the principal.

Mei Ibuki

A teacher and librarian in the school.

Sakura

A main character in Edelweiss Eiden Fantasia who are bestfriends with Rin.

Rin

A main character in Edelweiss Eiden Fantasia who are bestfriends with Sakura.

Supporting characters

Mr. Yagami

The teacher who was with the boys even before going to the island. He also transferred to the school at Eiden and got propular among the female students.

Kazuko

A girl in their class who is bestfriends with Rei and is not in good terms with the boys.

Rei

A big muscular girl who is actually sensitive inside.

Mr. Miya

He is the store owner downtown.
